This journey is taken in a 30 seat SAAB 340B, 19 seat British Aerospace Jetstream 32 or similar and all seats feature comfortable legroom. Flying north, we land in the heart of the outback at Longreach named after the “long reach” of the Thomson River. Upon arrival, take a fascinating tour of Longway, a working outback cattle station and unique Queensland homestead. A Welcome Dinner to remember tonight as we explore the award-winning Qantas Founders Outback Museum and enjoy the Luminescent Longreach Light and Sound show, which showcases the history of Australia’s national airline and tells the story of its regional birthplace.

This morning we visit the historic Stockman’s Hall of Fame, a spectacular tribute to the people of Outback Australia. Re-board our private aircraft and continue our journey to the Northern Territory. We arrive into the township of Katherine or “Nitmiluk” and enjoy a short town tour. Embark on a memorable cruise on the stunning Katherine Gorge as we marvel at its magnificent sandstone cliffs that glow in the changing light.

Experience a unique private Aboriginal cultural tour with a local Jawoyn elder before flying north west. From our private aircraft, wonder as the craggy cliffs of the Katherine region give way to an ancient landscape below. Take in a bird’s eye view of the beautiful harbour and Darwin city, a former frontier outpost. Enjoy dinner tonight at famed Pee Wee’s at the Point.

Today we fly to the magnificent Kakadu National Park as we marvel at this natural wonder from the air and up close. Discover the timeless culture and unique landscape of Kakadu as we cruise the Guluyambi (East Alligator) River and visit the culturally significant Ubirr site. Consisting of a group of rocky outcrops, Ubirr sits on the edge of the Nadab floodplain. The rock art in Kakadu is among the finest in the world representing a personal and spiritual relationship between the Indigenous people and the environment. Fly back to Darwin this afternoon.

Departing Darwin, our journey continues, as we fly over the fascinating World Heritage-listed Bungle Bungle Range in Purnululu National Park. In Kununurra, embark on a memorable cruise of the Ord River, through the inspiring scenery of the Kimberley region before visiting the Durack’s Argyle Homestead.

Enjoy the most spectacular aerial views over Mitchell Falls, the Horizontal Falls and the exquisite Buccaneer Archipelago today. Tour the historic pearling port of Broome taking in the Japanese Cemetery, Chinatown, Sun Pictures, and the red rock cliff face of Gantheaume Point. Transfer to the award-winning Cable Beach Club Resort upon arrival and enjoy dinner at leisure.

Transfer to the fascinating Indigenous Lombadina Community located on beautiful Thomas Bay on the Dampier Peninsula. We continue to One Arm Point Hatchery where we will learn about the local marine life. Visit Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm to gain an insight into the fascinating history of pearling in Cygnet Bay and view a pearl harvest demonstration.

Today, soak in the ambiance of beautiful Broome. For true relaxation, wander the grand expanse of the famous white sandy Cable Beach and enjoy the facilities of this magnificently set resort. For those who would like to explore Broome further, a hop-on / hop-off bus service will be available. This evening, view the renowned Staircase to the Moon natural phenomena during our sunset dinner cruise.

Re-board our aircraft for a memorable flight across the Red Centre. Marvel at nature’s splendour while ‘flightseeing’ as Uluru and Kata Tjuta appear on the horizon in this most remote region of Outback Australia. Upon arrival, tour the magnificent boulders of Kata Tjuta including the Walpa Gorge walk. Tonight, view the incredible art installation, the Field of Light by renowned artist Bruce Munro.

Your breath will be taken away this morning with a sublime sunrise at ‘The Rock’ before enjoying a base tour of Uluru including a walk to Kunya Waterhole. A visit to the Cultural Centre will teach us about Uluru, how it was formed and its traditional owners. This evening, we enjoy our very special Farewell Dinner, the iconic Sounds of Silence, under a sky brilliant with stars, Uluru majestically set in the distance. We begin with canapés and chilled sparkling wine upon a dune top overlooking the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, a didgeridoo setting the mood. While enjoying a bush tucker inspired menu, a star talker decodes the southern night sky; this is a never-to-be-forgotten evening in the Outback.

This morning we fly to iconic Birdsville, a quintessential outback town established to collect tolls from the droves of cattle being moved interstate.
